Legal Notice and note that NWTN is NOT a Translation Company but a network of independent Translators and Interpreters.
We invite you to
Register as a Partner.
What are the advantages of being a Partner?
Translation companies will find that the Members Directory is an invaluable source of skilled translators and interpreters. Partners get access to information on individual translators and interpreters which is not available to members of the public. Partners can save time by sending an email to several Members at the same time.
Partners have access to the Directory of both Full Members (who meet the requirements outlined in set out in the Rules) and Associate Members (who may be skilled in one or more languages but do not meet the requirements set out for full membership). This gives Partners access to many more translators than other visitors, because we consider that Translation companies have the necessary skills and expertise to decide for themselves whether a member would be suitable for a particular job.
What is a Partner and who can become one?
Partners are Trusted Third Parties – reputable Translation Companies who understand the value to their business of a good translator or interpreter and want to forge close links with our Network and our Members. Partners share our aims to raise the profile of the Translation Industry, to promote quality translation through partnership with our Members.
Any Translation Company which is a registered company in the UK may become a Partner. Non registered translation companies in the UK or Translation companies in other countries who are recommended by Members may also be accepted.
Translation companies who are members of the ATC can register without having to provide any other information.
Registration as a Partner is free, but some information is required on the company. The status of Partner is granted and revoked at NWTN's sole discretion. Please read our
Privacy Policy.
Please note that NWTN is not a party to any contractual relationship between Partners and Members and is not responsible for any shortcomings on the part of individuals commissioned to carry out a translation or interpreting assignment.
NWTN may display a list of Partners on the website, but any Partner will have the option not to be mentioned on that list.

What are the Benefits of Membership of NWTN?
The NWTN is an independent regional association of professional translators and interpreters in the North West of England. Founded in 1985, the Network's main aim is to provide a forum for translators and interpreters and those with an interest in this work - to provide a meeting place where members can exchange views, share problems, help each other out and improve skills.
Meetings and Training
Meetings are held at regular intervals throughout the year. At these meetings there is generally a guest speaker who has specialist knowledge in a field such as translation, technology, business, business equipment, etc., in fact anything which in one way or another impinges on the work of the profession.
The Network has a particular interest in improving the quality of translations and the professionalism of translators and organises specialist seminars from time to time on various topics. There is also a programme of industrial visits to provide first hand experience and an opportunity to meet customers.
Newsletter
To keep its members in touch, the Network publishes a newsletter approximately once every two months, and this is distributed to members and interested parties.
Support for new Translators
Those new to freelance translating can receive special help through the New Translator Support meetings where they can compare notes and obtain help and advice from more experienced translators.
Marketing
On the promotional side the Network acts as a vehicle for representing the profession and markets its members as a source of professional skills, expertise and advice. It does not however act as a translation company.
Debt Collection Scheme
NWTN members have a right to access a third-party debt collection scheme with special rates.
ITI Regional Group
The Network also represents the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (the national body representing the profession in the North West, and acts as a de facto regional group for that organisation, while retaining its independence.
